Our History

Darryl Kirbo opened up Kirbo’s Office Machines in 1972 as a one-man typewriter business serving five county areas in Texas. After rapid growth, Bruce Stewart left an engineering career with GTE in 1981, to collaborate with Darryl, becoming a partner in Kirbo’s Office Machines. As computers began to rise in popularity during the mid-80s, Darryl and Bruce investigated copiers and landed the good-fortune to make Kirbo’s an authorized dealer for Canon’s copier line. In the mid 90s, the company changed its name from Kirbo’s Office Machines to Kirbo’s Office Systems, LLC. Then, as demand for computer printers grew rapidly, the team added Lexmark printers to our all-star lineup!
